We're in need of some advice on a pool liner problem.
We recently hired a contractor to replace our inground pool liner. This guy has over 30 years experience and his company is very well known in the area.
To make a long story short, we have had numerous issues and delays with this company and we're not very happy with the liner results. We think he might have mis-measured the pool before ordering the liner (16x32 with stairs) and as a result he had a very difficult time getting the corners in properly. He had to use some extra strips to get the liner attached in the deep end corners. Also the stairs have wrinkles on them. The day he installed the liner he seemed to rush to get the new liner in and have the water truck come to fill the pool. He even admitted to us the water truck overfilled the pool to the point that he was having issues setting the corners. The project looks shabby and not professional to us. The other big concern is how the corners are not tight or flush into the frame of the pool. Could this be a potential problem over the winter with sharp ice or frozen snow?
I was hoping some pool experts can take a look at our photos and let us know their thoughts on this liner install. We still owe the company the remaining 50% of the project and we do not want to pay him and until we are 100% happy with the project. Our biggest fear is that we paid all this money and the liner will not hold up and we'll be out all that money and just need to get someone else in here to do the project all over again. Huge headache...
