"Ramp" on bottom of ABG pool

This is our first year in this house, with this pool (27' ABG). Just opened it 2 weeks ago and using BBB it looks great.

However, there is a "ramp" in the liner along one of the edges where the side meets the bottom. A serous ramp, as in about a foot. Instead of a roughly 90 degree corner, there is a ramp or fillet there.

It is not around the entire pool, just about 6 to 10 feet long, and located under the skimmer and return area.

Is this something that they would have installed on purpose when building the pool, maybe to facilitate water flow by the skimmer and return, or is this something that could have happend after the fact and is an indicator that my backyard will soon be watered with 17,000 gallons of sparkling BBB method water?

Generally there is a cove at the joint where the wall meets the ground. My only guess would be that the liner was reset after some floor work, and they knew the old skimmer cuts wouldn't work if they removed the sand under there.
