Cya in the skimmer

Can someone remind me how long I need to run the filter after putting cya in the skimmer? Not using the sock method because it is pouring, has been for 2 days and will will be for another 2. Don't want to spend the time outside to set the sock up.

Put it in a knee high panty hose.........tie it up...........chunk in skimmer with pump running till it dissolves. I'd probably wait if you're gonna have to pump out a lot of rain water first.

I think op has already put it in the skimmer or is about to and doesn't intend to use the sock method.

It will dissolve on it's own over time. Run your pump as you normally would but don't backwash/clean your filter for a week.
