need suggestions for a replacement skimmer

I have a summer escapes 24ft round that came with a thru-wall skimmer/pump combo and one return. I have upgraded to an intex sand filter and now I have discovered that the skimmer has several cracks in it. I could epoxy the cracks, but I really want to go with a different skimmer to eliminate the bottleneck caused by running through the original pump housing (impeller removed).

I really want a skimmer that I can put a vacuum plate on. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

I don't see why the intex mods wouldn't apply to your pool as well. Good luck!
