Jack's "After Shock" Product

That is a great product, but there are very few situations where you actually need it with an outdoor pool. Chlorine levels will come down on their own and in most cases having higher chlorine levels is not a problem. Jack's sells it because of very specific situations where you need to go rapidly from high chlorine levels to low chlorine levels as part of removing specific kinds of stains.

I have found a chlorine killer to be a decent adjunct to my spa, as the chemicals in the spa are much more difficult to control exactly. For the spa, it is cheap to use occasionally. For me, the cost to lower the chlorine level in my pool is much higher than the cost of my yelling at the kids to stay out of the pool until tomorrow.
