There some questions I don't know what to ask! But, I do know some of the things that I want with my pool.
1) Salt water
2) Spill over spa
3) Sprinkler system tied-in for refill (behind skimmer to hide fill line)
4) Wireless Remote
5) Pump station away from house (noise factor)
6) Maybe an additional water feature?

But, there is many things I don't know about. Filters, pumps, etc. The meeting at his show room is next Friday 8 Jun.(Venture Pools) What are some of the most important questions I need to be asking? I will be interviewing at least 3 pool builders in the area in the next few weeks. They are all a rating of A+ BBB. I Live in Flower Mound, TX Thanks, John

You got the bells and whistles covered, but equal consideration needs to be made for the backbone:

How many skimmers?
Skimmer and floor drain plumbed separately to pad?
How many returns?
Pipe sizes for suction and returns?
Type of filter?
Size of filter?
Size of pump(s)?
single/2-speed/variable pump?
Separate pump for spa?
Brand/size of SWG?
SWG and Pump and Automation likely to be same brand.

You best bet is to get your quotes broken down to specifics ... hopefully with a cost breakdown for each item. That way you can see what various options are costing you and it is easier to compare bids.
