Fine Particles

First year at this site and first post.
What a great place - this is what the internet is all about.

My pool is clear but my problem is fine particles that reappear on the pool floor an hour after I've vacuumed. I've seen that flocking agents aren't recommended so is there an altenative. Is vacuuming on the waste setting the answer.

Dust can rain down on the bottom for days after a storm, or if your FC level is a bit too low. It is also very very easy to stir up the dust on the bottom while vacuuming, preventing the vacuum from picking everything up.

Your FC level is too low for your CYA level. With CYA around 70 you should keep FC between 6 and 11, and never below 6.
