Salt 3000

Just converted to salt. Ready to turn on.

Does converting to salt also mean you have added a swg (salt water chlorine generator)? If so, have you reviewed the Water Balance for SWGs yet?

I did but being its for my father I'm not here to often and I don't want to screw it up

Well, if you are not going to be maintaining the pool, I would suggest you get him to start reading as well.

Or you may end up in a situation where it is somehow your fault when the pool goes green.

I agree with jbliz that it would be best if your father also is on board with the tfp methods.

Looking at your (fathers) test results, two things jump out at me:

1. CYA of 37 is fairly low. Our recommendation is 70-80 for a swg. Remember easy to add, drain/refill to remove.

2. Ch is low...what kind of pool surface does your dad have. If it is vinyl, I would not worry about it. Plaster or fiberglass and you should adjust it upwards.

Also, QUICKLY get some Clorox/bleach in there to get FC up to 3 or 4. .5 is too low.
