Can't Read TA

My daughter ask me to come out and take reading on her pool as she could not get it to clear up. 25,000 gal IG vinyl with sand filter. I have an FT-100 test kit. CYA 60, FC .5, PH could not be read as color was yellow way below 6.8 on the test tube. TA added 2 drops of R-0007 than 5 drops of R-0008 and the test water turned red not green. Where do I go from here?

That means you have zero TA and a pH of 4.5. You need to get it up immediately and then retest and adjust the pH.

I just did a post with the exact same issue. What should you fix? TA or PH? IE Backing soda or Mule Team 20?

Bring the TA up first to around 50, then pH up to 7.2, then readjust TA if necessary.

Use baking soda to raise the TA and use borax to raise the pH.
