I have a de4800 my issue is the relief valve is leaking. The threads on the tank must be stripped I have already tried a new relief valve but it just does not tighten. I Tried wrapping the threads on the relief valve with teflon tape but still can't get it to seal any advice on what i can do. There must be something i can do i really dont want to replace the tank.

With the oring the valve wont tighten it still spins and wont get tight

You could try epoxy. Either fill the hole and then redrill and tap it or just epoxy the valve in place.
Do you guys think a thru hull fitting or bulkhead fitting may work i have seen them with threads on the inside hole too but the smallest i have seen is 1/2 inch but for half inch to fit i will have to make the hole bigger. It would be nice to find a 3/8 double threaded bulkhead adapter any ideas if this will work.
