I have upgraded my summer escapes pool with the skimmer/pump combo to an Intex sand filter, I'm using the old pump with the impeller removed to connect the new filter. I'm getting pretty good flow but when I attach the vacuum plate in order to vacuum the flow slows to a trickle and there is not really much suction at the vacuum head. Any advice would be received with gratitude.
