My pool has been open for about 3 weeks. This morning the inspect cell light was flashing. Prior to opening I did a complete acid wash and the interior of the cell was spotless. Does the 500 hour reminded reset when its disconnected, as in over the winter, or does it simply accumulate hour used period? Any other ideas? I did press and hold the button for 3 seconds to clear it.

The reminder only resets when you manually reset it (holding the button). So even though you cleaned it, if you didn't reset the counter it will it will flash the light when it reaches the preset.
