Our CYA is probably less than 10. The previous owner left a bucket of trichlor 3" tabs (that are at least circa summer 2005) and I put some in the auto feeder to try to help raise the cya.
I am trying to avoid adding the 'good stuff' until the backwashing is less.
The tabs were stored in our basement, sealed well and stink. So they probably have some 'good' left?
I check FC/pH every day.
Assuming the tabs still have some power, about how many of those will it take to get my CYA to around 20 to 30?
