chemical balancing question - CYA-0

Here is my current chemical levels:

FC 4
AKL 55
PH 6.8
CYA: 0

Water is almost clear after shocking and cleaning for last few days.

My initial Ph value was almost 7.8 to 8.0 and Akl was 65 last week. Not sure why it came down.

I just added some baking soda (5lb) to increase the AKL.

Also, I remember reading earlier that using chlorine tablet increases CYA. I have left over old tablets and put 3 each in skimmers.

Please suggest will this help to increase CYA. Also, please help me with overall chemical balance.

First, get the pH back up in the 7s ... soon.

The sun will burn off a lot of FC without the help of CYA. You should get CYA up to 30ppm and finish the shock process.

Each puck will add about 1.6ppm FC and 1 ppm CYA ... that will take a LONG time to get your CYA in range and the pucks do not add the FC fast enough for shocking.
