Remove metals from pool before cl

Hey:

Do I remember hearing last season that when I open my pool, if I have a lot of metals in my water (I do), I should put something in the water before adding CL? What is that? When should it go in? Where do you recommend I purchase it?

If you know you have metals you will need to add, and maintain, a level of sequestrant in your pool.
