Main Drain Replacement

Hopefully Im posting this in the correct area.

I finally was able to remove my main drain cover and now that I know the size(american products 6 1/2 inch overall diameter)
I cant find one under 42 dollars? I just feel like thats alot of money for 2 screws and a piece of plastic

You're not just buying a piece of plastic and 2 screws. You're buying R&D to make it compliant with the VGB act and insurance for liability in case somebody gets hurt anyway.

Oh I wasnt aware of that. Only had the pool a couple years.
