I have a 10K Gallon pool. I've put in about 86 oz of CYA into the pool in the past two days (Tuesday 56, Wednesday 30)(today is thursday evening). I know CYA is supposed to dissolve slowly etc and can take up to a week but I'm still getting a reading of 0 and is that normal ? I would think I would at least be seing 10 or 20 ppm at this point and my test using the Taylor test kit has me clearly below 20 ppm. Does that seem odd to any of you guys ? I'm afriad to put more in cuz i don't wanna have too high of a CYA to start out with and then have to drain the pool a bit. Thoughts ?

Don't worry about it. The test can sometimes read zero even when the CYA level is as high as 20. Give the CYA the full week to dissolve and then test it.
