Intex SWG will not connect to our pool

Bought an Intex swg and I guess they are only for Intex pools? We cannot find the right fitting to connect it to our current hose size. Checked Lowes, Home Depot and no one carries the fitting we need.

Has anyone connect an Intex swg to a non Intex pool?

You have to connect a couple of parts together to make an adapter. Intex hose is usually 1 1/4" and regular hose is usually 1 1/2". Various fittings are available in both of those sizes, and you can then connect them together with a short piece of PVC pipe.
