I'm still learning on my pool and have a few questions about my SWG - aquapure 1400. How does the boost feature work? I believe that it will provide chlorine for 24 hr continously, correct? But, how much will it actually raise my FC? Since I don't have my pump run 24 hours, will it automatically override that and keep the pump running or just the SWG?

Boost simply turns on the SWG at 100% for 24 hours, and then turns it back down to where it was set before. Most likely it will not keep the pump running and will turn it's self off when the pump turns off. You could manually turn the pump on continuously.
If you are shocking the pool, it is much more effective to add chlorine manually. Shocking works better when the FC level goes up quickly. With a SWG alone it will go up far more slowly.
