Using 2x12x12 wood for legs pads

Hi folks,

I am going to be setting up my 16x32x52 Ultra Frame pool and want to make sure I support the legs properly. I see in the manual that they call for a 15x15x1.2 board. is there an danger in using 2x12x12 sized blocks? will it cause issues with the legs if the only the center of the legs has the support rather than it being supported all the way across?

Thanks

I used 12x15
To make the grain perpendicular with the base of the support I ran them 12" across, alongside of the pool and 15" deep
The middle of the U was on the wood but the section to the right and left of the center, directly below the vertical stems of the U were not on the wood
The pool overfilled and the U collapsed and flattened over either side of the piece of wood

I'm pretty sure this happened because the entire base of the U was not over a piece of wood
