After adding CYA, how soon can you start borates

My question is:
After adding CYA, how soon can you start this process? Also what is the best way to dissolve the CYA when you have a cartridge filter? The bucket says pour slowly into skimmer....

Shocked last night
PH: 7.4
TA: 90 went to 100 this morning
CH: 325
CYA: 0 going to 50 in a few minutes
Borates: 0
Temp: 75

If you won't need to clean the filter for at least a week I suggest putting the CYA in a sock and putting the sock in the skimmer.

You can add borates any time as far as CYA is concerned, they don't interact. However, it is best to lower TA before adding borates.
