I have a friend coming over to swim after work tomorrow, although apparently our weather will be a bit cloudy and only about 81 degrees outside. This afternoon the pool temp was only 78 (it had been 84 degrees in the pool a week and a half ago!).

I was wondering how hair brained an idea would it be if I sump-pumped my hot tub water into the pool.
Does anyone think 390 gallons of 104 degree water could make enough of a dent in raising the pool temp a few degrees in an 12k gallon pool for our comfort?

I know its an odd question

It may raise it to a blistering 78.5...for about a second or two. Since it is only about a 26 degree difference in 390 gallons of water dispersed into 12K gallons, well that is a lot of dilution!
