Should i add liquid chlorine while i wait for my test kit?

I ordered a TF100 yesterday.

I just opened my pool and it is crystal clear and about 63 degrees. We just had 3 inches of rain and i still need to add another 6 inches of water (municipal water) to get to the correct level.

I used the test strips i had left over and they showed everything to be more in less in range or slightly low except for the chlorine which was very low.

Would it make sense to add a gallon or two or some other amount just to keep it clean a couple more days??

Certainly would not hurt anything to keep some chlorine in it to prevent it from turning green ... although ideally you should have the pump running when you are adding chemicals.
