Solar heater Question

I found a brand new solar heater on Craigslist, the guy said it's a fafco 4x20. I asked him if it's the Solar Bear, he said it has a bear on the box. I was reading some specs and said a 1hp pump would handle installation up to 30 ft away. My question is, is this a good solar heater? and will my 3/4 HP handle a installation about 10ft away? I'm sure it will handle it, but want to make sure.

All pumps and setups are not created equal. That said, your pump will certainly be able to move water through it ... even if the flow rate is not optimum.

I think Fafco is a decent supplier, although I am not familiar with all the different panels that are offered.

They are reasonably good, not the fanciest offered by any means but decent. Your pump should be just fine.
