SWG usable while shocking?

Hopefully nearing the end of my battle with algae (3 weeks and counting) and was wondering
if it's okay to be using my SWG ,supplementary of course, while I am shocking my pool.

Using 6% chlorine bleach as my shock.

Yes, the only disadvantage is that some people thinks that means they don't need to add any additional chlorine manually while shocking, which is rarely true. If you are doing an overnight chlorine loss test you do need to turn off the SWG.
