Main Pump Problem

My pump isn't working and tried the capacitor option, no luck.
Any suggestion on good motor or should I replace the complete set including the housing. Please suggest.
Also, any recommendation on who do the good job, pool store or electrician?
I currently have 1hp, pinnacle / centurion pump. 3450rpm, p56y frame, horizontal mount.
thanks!

Volts mentioned is 230/115
RPM 3450, 60hz
few numbers I notice:
174050-01
175367-15
part no: 35-5839
It says 1HP , 1.25 SF

I had hard time removing the electrical connection since it was locked with pressed plug on the motor and grounding wire had completely rusted. I had to cut it. I took it too local pool store (national spa and pool) to see if it can be repaired. I am waiting for response. I aslo checked few other stores on the motor, I was told motor can be replace for around $275-$300. Anything particular I need to watch for or ask to avoid common pitfall? Please let me know.
