Shocking/cloudy water

I had a severe problem with algae, probably caused by nitrates due to decomposing organic material. I have shocked, following advice from this website. The algae has disappeared, but the water is cloudy. Here are some facts:

Pool volume: approx. 10,000
I have added 10 gallons of 5.25% and 7 gallons of 6% bleach.
pH: 7.5
TA: 100
Cya (stabilizer): 50
FC: 7.5

This is all the information my test kit provides.

Should I continue with the treatment to get rid of the cloudiness or is there something else that should be done?

How long have you been shocking. Following shocking instructions in pool school, you should shock until you pass the OCLT AND your water is clear. Just keep it up.

You should be running your pump the entire time you are shocking. This will help circulate your chlorine, and likely help clear up your water.

You might want to upgrade to a test kit like TF-100. Being able to accurately measure FC is critical for proper shocking.
