Intermatic timer with heater switch useage question

Hi All,

I have a question about a Intermatic Timer I have to install when I get home in a week or so. I want to hook it up with my heater using the firemans switch. I understand how to wire it but I don't really understand how to set up the timer. I know I set the clock and the tang turns on the pump. When the "OFF" tang comes around it will trip the firemans switch and turn off the heater. On the next timing cycle what turns the heater back on?

It is probably simple but I'm not seeing it.

Just as the off tang hits the fireman switch first and the main switch second, the on tang hits the main switch first and the fireman switch second.
