If I go about opening my pool myself for this first full year of ownership, I wanted to be sure I cover the key things that need to be done for the heater. I have located the owners manual which provides key steps for preparing the heater, including reconnecting the siphon loop to the pressure switch, tighting the mainifold drain, turning the gas on and clearing out any cobwebs and debris. As this is a new heater (September 2007), is there anything else that I really need to make sure is done?

we try to give them a good cleanig with a shop vac. before we start them up
