I'm interested in a pool automation system and specifically using a mobile device or tablet (iPhone or iPad) to control the system. Are there any opinions out there about the apps, ease of use or maturity of the Pentair EasyTouch vs. the Jandy Aqualink? I'm new to this and so any feedback would be appreciated.

What equipment do you have currently? If you have a Pentair pump, then the EasyTouch will be easier to set up. You can still run Jandy automation with a Pentair pump, but you would may need an adapter to help them 'talk' to each other.

As far as apps, EasyTouch and IntelliTouch both can be controlled by ScreenLogic2 app. This app is not supported on Android (but it sound like you will use iPhone anyways).

The Jandy iAquaLink has an app for Android. Here is a link to the product description on Zodiac's website: http://www.zodiacpoolsystems.com/Produc ... aLink.aspx
