We've had a lot of rain in the last 24 hours with more on the way. This may sound really dumb, but should I still add chemicals and try to keep it balanced? I'm afraid if I wait until the rain goes away, maybe several days, the chemicals will be so out of whack that it will take forever to get them balanced!

The most important is to keep your FC in the appropriate range for your CYA level ... that MUST be done or stuff could start growing quickly. The other levels should be ok going a few days without adjustment.
