Spa Blower Operation Question

We have a spa blower that works wonderfuly when we operate the Spa.

The other day our kids pushed the blower botton however when the main pumps/valves where operating the pool. The spa jets went ballistic - too the great fun of the kids, but I am concerned about burning out equipment.

Any pros/cons on this ?

Running the blower alone does not pose any risk for the blower its self. The only negative is that it can raise the PH in the spa. If you do that too much, without any water exchange with the pool, you run some risk of calcium scaling in the spa. That isn't much of a problem for say half an hour of blower use, but leaving the blower on all day could start to pose a problem.

That's excellent news. So a few minutes for kids fun can provide great fun.
