Booster pump won't come on (video included)

Take off the cover in the center of the motor(on the back side). Once the cover is off that will expose the motor shaft. Use a wrench and see if you can freely spin the shaft.

Most any place that rebuilds electric motors and even most small tool repair shops will have a capacitor tester and will test yours for free. (if you want to bring it to my shop in Nor Cal I'll test it for you) :eek: Capacitors for motors like that will run anywhere from $20 to $80 and should be relatively easy to find.
 
pulled mine and it llos like this:

the MFD rating matches, but i can't find any on the capacitor website that match that MFD with 165 VAC. (the one in the link above is 110:125). is that a problem.
