White Marcite vs Diamond Brite

We are having our gunite pool redone and trying to decide between white marcite and diamond brite interior finishing. Price difference is about $2800. White marcite has one year warranty and Diamond Brite has 10. We will be converting to a salt system also.

If we go with the marcite are we going to have to replaster again in the near future or is the Diamond brite just fancier with the colors?

Diamond Brite will last longer. How long either finish lasts is highly variable. One rule of thumb is that regular plaster (marcite) will last about 10 years, while quartz finished (like Diamond Brite) will last 15 years. But that is just a rough average. Some specific pool might last much longer or much less long depending on things like proper maintenance of chemical levels.
