Complete newb needs help with filter/pump set up

I went out and purchased a Hayward EC50AC DE filter, and a Hayward Power Flo Matrix sp1510 z1 xehc 1 hp pump for a 24x54 AGP. Looking to line up some fittings, hoses, and clamps, but not really sure what I need. The filter only came with a ball valve drain, and pump came with no fittings at all.
Should this set up be mounted to a base. Can you just mount it to plastic base you'ld put a AC unit on?
Anyone have input if this a good filter/pump combo? Anyone have pics of their filter/pump combo which might be comparible??

The filter and pump can be mounted to an A/C pad.

That pump is a little small but that just means that you may have to clean it more often.

The pump is a good size for that pool.
