I have a intex round 24` x 52 `` deep pool. it did not come with a skimmer, is it safe to cut the liner and add one.

Hi lhanddh and welcome to TFP! 
I did cut my Intex Frame pool liner for a skimmer and have pics, parts and DIY install.
My posts start at the bottom of page one, and continue through the posting.

The hard part is measure and think,
measure some more, then get out the utility knife and sweat some more, then CUT! ale:
Wow, I thought, that was easy when I was done... but the suspense can be intense.
P.S. The first pic's was the 1 1/2 through fittings, still running the overhang skimmer. (needed to drill holes in the fitting to lesson the suction for my 1 hp pump)
