I'm having a problem with my Hayward heater. It is a model H400FDN 400,000 btu. A few months ago the thin sheet of plastic that covers the buttons fell off. I couldn't find it so I just put some electrical tape on it. I have Jandy controls and never use the buttons. Now I'm going to sell my house so I need to fix it but don't want to start throwing parts at it. I replaced the bezel and noticed the lights were out. No leds and no display. I cant remember now if they worked before but I even plugged in the old bezel and it didn't make a difference. Powered everything and still blank. It did this about a month ago after the power went out. A few days later is was working again. Does this sound like the display board? Its no cheap but I'll give it a try if thats whats needed.

I'd wait for someone else to chime in but it sure sounds like a fried display board.
