It sure looks like slate from India. I have over 750 square feet of it in my home. Looks about the same...though there are mant varieties of slate.
Thanks for the help! I was thinking it could be slate. Does the Indian slate get extremely hot like the darker colors do? I read somewhere that heat retention is more about the properties of the material than the color. The reason I ask is we're in North Texas and have small children.
If you are in north Texas I would advise against slate or bluestone. The deck will simply get too hot to be comfortable.
That is a super nice pool. The coping looks like it might be limestone and the deck looks like it might be sandstone or quartzite.
