Lowest Salt Level CompuPool Salt Chlorine Generator Can Run?

Interested in trying one of these units out.

Looked at the info on these units but they just say 3500 P.P.M. salt. Does anyone know what that means? Is that the lowest salt these can run at? Seems high to me.

3500 is the recommended level. but will run lower literature states 3000 ppm
