My Intex cheapee finall died so I need a real SWG for my 8k AGP.

I have 2" piping and a 250# sand filter so I'm rigged like a IGP.

Which would be a better value a CircuPool RJ20 with a 7 yr warranty for $549 or a Intellichlor IC15 By Pentair for $389 ?

Yes it came with a p/s, but it is a smaller sealed unit not the bigger power center.

And that was $389 TOTAL, no shipping no tax and no handeling ! :)

Why does it say that for above ground pools you don't need the PS? The other cells indicate the need for a PS. And they seems to say that if this one is used for an IG pool it also needs a PS?

If you're not looking for a lot of bells and whistles if you compare output amounts divided by cost it may give you an idea of value. All SWCG units wear out, they have a fixed life expectancy (total output)and its a function of run time and output percentage run. It's basically if you run it at 50% it will run twice as many hours as 100%. That's how it works on paper, real world conditions will vary.
