Spa draining water into pool

You might have an obstruction/ crack in those two jets producing little flow. To resolve a clogged line, you can get a drain king which attaches to a water hose and you put it directly into the jet it will then decompress itself to secure itself to the pipe and then creates water pressure until the obstruction is cleared. If it is an obstruction that is complete and will not clear (like a pool toy), the drain king will pop right out of the jet. In which case you would want to try to snake fish that obstruction out. Plug in all other jets except the problem jet with rubber plugs and the spa return line at the equipment area then put the drain king into that problem return jet. If neither drain king or the plugs pop out after letting it run for a while, say 5 minutes, depending on how far your equipment is from the pool. That is an indicator you have an underground leak.

Any outcome from this? This is my issue as well in a new home purchased in Plano, TX. When the pump turns off, the spa drains down to the pool level. Doesn't make sense!

Another note, replace the springs on the check valves as will become weak over time allowing water to push past the valve.
