Two Speed Pump - Low speed only works....bad pump?

My pool has a two speed pump. The high speed is inoperative and the pool only operates on low speed. This has no affect on the on the chlorinator (salt water pool) but adversely effects the cleaner (Polaris) and hot tub operations.

Sound like a bad pump?

Pool is four years old - Jandy equipment.

While it is possible for a pump to break in that way, it is more likely that a switch, relay, or connection outside the motor is malfunctioning. If you are comfortable working with AC wiring, a simple test with a multi-meter can help pin down where the problem is.
