    Hayward DE EC65A Filter

What is the best way to soak the fingers? I have heard TSP or muratic acid. Should the fingers be white after soaking? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You don't want to use acid unless there is scale on the fingers and you have done the TSP/automatic dish detergent soak first.

Well I did the TSP soak and the fingers still look dirty. They are not real white. Should they be?
