HL2 code displayed on Rheem gas pool heater

Our Rheem gas pool heater is displaying an HL2 message and also the service light is on. What does the HL 2 message mean? Is there an easy fix?

HL2 is an error code for High Limit #2. This error means the water in the heat exchanger is too hot. You need to check flow to the heater as well as the switch.

Thanks for your help! I think I will call the heater man and have him check it out. I am not sure how to check the water flow or the switch.

They are really pretty simple. See if you can go on Rheem's site and get a .pdf of the manual (if you don't have one). These things are really simple, and you'll save a bunch if you can get it yourself.
