winter spa use

when should you close your pool?

im new to the site (looks great and very helpfull) i was wondering do most people turn off there spa for the winter or leave it running. im on the east cost and it was very cold in Jan. and i did not use it at all. do you think i should just have drained it or kept it going is was about 4 weeks without any use

If you're talking about a portable spa, keep it going all winter...its spa season. An inground concrete spa that runs off a pool system wouldn't get the use, IMO and should be closed down.
