After finally deciding to go with a concrete pool with pebble tec, how much time should we allow before cold weather sets in? In other words, should we postpone the dig until next spring? Freezing weather can occur in late Oct or early Nov in Oklahoma. Seeking advice from pool experts on this forum. Thanks

The plaster needs to be protected from freezing during the first several days. While it is possible to enclose and heat the pool area while pouring concrete and/or applying plaster/pebbles, it is much simpler and less expensive to do all the concrete and plaster/pebble work before there is any chance of a hard freeze.
Our dig should start in the next 10-14 days. We aren't concerned about a freeze at this time, as we usually don't get one until November or so. We aren't going with PebbleTec...we chose Quartzscapes instead.
