So I have a neighbor who is a single mom with two kids. Her Hayward pump SP3010X15A is leaking. A causing a swamp between our house and hers. It looked as though the seal was leaking. She tells me that she cannot afford to have someone out to fix it. I volunteered to try and fix the leak. Went and bought a new seal and gasket. Installed it this morning and it still leaks. Has anybody ever replaced one of these seals. I followed the manual but just cannot get it to stop leaking. :hammer: What did I miss????

Did you inspect the seal plate to make sure it isn't cracked? That's common when the seal doesn't stop the leak.
Did you replace and lube the housing o-ring?
Also, remove, clean and lube the drain plug(s) (there may be more than one).

Inspect the entire pump to acertain where the leak is coming from exactly.
