too cute! I love parrots, but cannot tolerate the mess, even with the smaller ones... Was vying for a B&G at one point, or a green wing, but DH said no WAY were we going to pay thousands of $$ for a pet that would outlive him!!
Oh, you DO have to make arrangements for them after you are gone. I am a member of a non-profit parrot rescue and believe me, we see many birds that lose their loved one, the family doesn't want them or care about them and they end up with us or sold on Craigs List to someone who is clueless on care, then they still end up with us. Poor things. Big responsibility, but capable of lots of love though.
