Hi folks,

I have been reading the forums for a few days as we prepare to pull the triger on our pool. I have a few questions I would like your opinion on:

1. We would like the color of the water to be a deeper blue but not lagoon dark. The largest concern is no green! We are planning to use Quartz Scapes. Looking at the samples we favor the pictures of Midnight Blue; however, it appears in the sample (not in the pic of the water) that there could be some green. I think our backup color is Barbados Blue.

Does anyone have first had experiece with this product and or color? A few things to consider in your response is the pool will be 8' deep and have an enclosure which will impact the darkness of the pool.

2. We have a large sun shelf in the plans (10' X 16' includes 2 steps).

Any thoughts on doing a lighter blue surface for this area?

Thank you!
Rok

The pool does not meet the angel of repose so the walls will be 12" thick with #3 bars 6" in center. Since I require a stem wall I decided to save some money by using the pool as the stem wall. The pool will be a L shape with the a sundeck on the short side 16X10 and the long side as the back part of the wall. The long side of the pool will be 16X42.

I have a quartz plaster that was just done in Tahoe color, its a grey / blue look to it with a nice blue color of the water. I love it.

Oh yeah, my shallow end is 3' deep, deep end is 9' deep.

Thank you... and nice color Marauder

I am switching to a different marcite (not happy with the warranty on Quartzscape) Premix Marqis (http://www.premixmarbletite.com/id19.html) most likley either midnight blue or San Pablo. I am not exactly sure which will produce the deep blue (but not black) look we would like. I have some appointments with the PB to see some pools this next weekend.

My permits are being help by the county.... I just found out the HOA has to approve them before the county will issue a permit? grrr
