Add too much FC reagent for FAS-DPD

Will adding to much 0871 (FAS-DPD reagent) throw the results off when I add the 0003
(CC reagent)? I was testing for FC and after 10 drops the solution APPEARED clear, but I wasn't sure so I added another drop. There was no change and then I checked for CC and got a solid zero.

Using extra drops in the FC phase, beyond what is actually needed, will cause the test to read CC lower than actual, assuming CC is above zero.

That's what I was afraid of. I usually get a small CC reading, this time it was clearly zero.

I forgot to ask: If I'm not sure that all the pink is gone, should I add another drop? Which direction should I err?

If you aren't sure if the pink is completely gone on the FC phase, add one more drop. If the color does not change count that drop as a CC drop.
